Ariana Grande’s Sweetener World Tour Allows Fans To Register To Vote: “Thank U, Vote”

Ariana Grande kicked off her Sweetener tour in Albany, New York last night and first attendees were treated to the ability to register to vote. The “God Is A Woman” singer partnered with HeadCount, a non-profit organization that sets up voter registration booths at concerts.

CNN details how fans can register to vote at the concert, but if for some reason they didn’t they can also text ARIANA to 40649 to register, volunteer, contact legislators or get a reminder on their 18th birthday to register to vote.

“Ariana got headcount to come to tour to get people to become registered to vote. this is insane. she’s on another level. voting is so important and this is just … she’s amazing,” one user tweeted, while another added: “Ariana Grande is having tables set up at every one of her tour stops where people can register to vote. This is how you use your platform.”

“There’s a lot of noise when you say anything about anything,” Ariana explained to Elle when discussing how she will not stay quiet about political happenings. “But if I’m not going to say it, what’s the fucking point of being here? Not everyone is going to agree with you, but that doesn’t mean I’m just going to shut up and sing my songs. I’m also going to be a human being who cares about other human beings; to be an ally and use my privilege to help educate people.”
